All boys & girls are welcome so if not already enrolled bring your kid along & get enrolled into this very good academy in the New Year.

Garda Vetting.

As a club, we continue to strive to ensure everyone, who is in anyway involved with the coaching or managing of our teams or academy, are already vetted or are in the process of being vetted by the appropriate authorities.

If you have not already provided your Vetting status to the club or have not yet submitted your application to the FAI, please do so immediately as it is critical that everyone has this requirement completed. Any questions in this matter contact any member of the committee.

Church Gate

To all our volunteers, our sincere thanks to those who gave up their time freely to do the Church Gate collection this weekend.

We really appreciate all the contributions that we received as without such funding a club like ours cannot be successful run.

Very much appreciated to all – thank you.

Well done Ellen.

Congratulations to Ellen on receiving a well-deserved award in Dublin on Sunday last for her performances in The Gaynor Cup. Ellen was playing for The Waterford Ladies Team – U14.

Ellen plays in our Bohs U14 Ladies team along with the Boys U13 team as well.

Limited spaces…

In our clubhouse entrance hall, we have a fantastic display with the names of a considerable number of club members & friends of Bohs – past & present. This display is almost full with only 8 spaces remaining. If you are interested get in touch with any member of the committee to get your or your family name displayed in gold lettering.

Cardiff City

We are keeping our fingers crossed that our former international Goalkeeper Brian Murphy – playing at Cardiff City – will soon get over the line & get the automatic promotion spot to the premier league for next season. Cardiff City are in a prime position to get promoted. Best of luck Brian.

Club Coats.

The new club coats, supplied to all team managers & coaches are very impressive & very welcome on what seems to be a very long & dreary Autumn / Winter this season. With all this rain we have been having the spring has not really brought anything better & these are very welcome indeed.

U12 Schoolgirls League Bohs ‘Black’ 1-0 Bohs ‘Red’.
The return fixture between our two schoolgirl teams was just as tight as the first game. Both teams played some excellent football with the improvement in the players since the season started evident. We had two girls making their debuts today for their squads, Leah Browne for the Black and Jenna Smith for the Reds and both will be excellent additions. It was Leah though who got the winner and what a goal it was when she stuck a superb shot from outside the box that flew into the top corner. The Reds battled hard to get an equaliser with Lucy and Eimear a constant danger but found the defense of Ciara Cate and Lana on top form. Grace O Rourke and Grace Shields both came close to increasing the lead for the Black but Grace Geraghty made good saves. Very difficult to pick out a player of the match with so many excellent performances throughout both squads but special mention to Sarah Abullo and Leah for the Blacks and Lucy & Sarah Searson for the Reds.

14A Carrick 2-3 Bohs
Excellent win for the boys against a strong Carrick side. We fell behind in the opening minutes but the boys dug deep and began to take control of the game.  Milo Curran scored a cracker of an equaliser when he scored from the edge of the box. Minutes later Conor Keane collected a Tommy Phelan throw and beat two markers before scoring a good goal. Both sides had opportunities to score with Conor Keane and Conor Fanning coming close. At the other end Dara Kavanagh was brilliant making several top class saves.  We increased our lead in the second half when Conor Keane played in Ross Phelan who outpaced the defense and struck a superb shot across the keeper and into the net. Conor Keane again came close to adding to the lead before Carrick got a consolation in the final minute. Good performance from all the squad with Ross and Conor up front working hard, the midfield doing their bit and in defense Anto, Milo, Calum and Tommy worked well as a unit but man of the match was Dara Kavanagh for his superb display on goal.
